Zoos are not relaxing.

Maybe I am just wound too tight lately. BH, La Nina, and I went to the zoo today. It is a nice zoo. They have done a lot of work to it recently to make it even better. It was a warm, sunny day. And I was frustrated by the end of it. Here are the reasons for that.

1. Everything is overpriced. $3.50 for a cup of ice cream. Ouch!
2. People do not have courtesy with their strollers. We took one, but we kept it parked to the side when looking at an attraction. Other would park them sideways in the walking paths.
3. Adults would not move 2 inches to let a 3 year old get a look. I try to stand back and let the little ones look. I have seen a bear before, in the wild. Let someone who is seeing one for the first time that they can remember have a look.
4. I am all for natural habitat in a zoo, but when two thirds of the animals are asleep behind the natural habitat and I can't see than, it takes away from the experience.
5. Every time I go to the zoo, there is some guy who is more childish that any kid there. One today was banging on the glass, trying to get the attention of a gorilla. He got the attention of security.
6. Parking is always terrible.
7. I heard three different people call the sting rays "Irwin killers". Grow up.

That is enough of my rant about the zoo. Overall it was a fun day with my family. It was nice to get out and about with them.
