People Who Love What They Do
I admire people who do for a living what they love to do. You know the ones. They look forward to going into work each day, because they would do that even if they didn't get paid.
I had a friend that work on a charter fishing boat in Florida. He loved his work. He was always the first one to get to the boat in the morning. When he got done at the end of the day, what did he do? He went down to the docks, and went fishing.
This type of happiness with work has to some extent always eluded me. I enjoy elements of my job, but do not wake up thinking what a pleasure it is to go in. Unless, of course, BH and I are arguing.
The problem is, I do not know what kind of work I could get that passionate about. I wish I had that.
I tried to look at my hobbies for inspiration, but after doing some research, I discarded those ideas. Fishing is too hard to make a living at, and I am definitely not Tiger Woods on the golf course.
Oh well, maybe someday that dream will happen. Until then, I will keep trying to find the little bits of happiness I can with where I am.
Later,
Deej
