Fall Is In The Air
Fall has arrived. Time to break out the sweaters, long sleeved shirts, and warm jackets. This is the time of year when I like living in Ohio. The trees are turning various bright colors, everyone is decorating for Halloween, and there is a nip in the air.
There was frost on the truck this morning when I left for work. It didn't take long to defrost it, but it was the first time this year. I am sure my trees will be dropping their leaves soon, and then I get to rake them and let La Nina jump in them.
Next week we are going to go to the local pumpkin patch, and pick out some nice ones. The place we go normally has a special of all the pumpkins you can carry from point A to point B, about 100 feet, for twelve dollars. Last year I made it with five pumpkins. The lady said she it was the largest load she had seen make it. There were a lot of casualties by the side of the path.
I had to go northeast of Cleveland the other day for some company training. I hadn't been up there before. It was a nice drive. Climber went with me. We had fun, and bullshitted the whole way. It ended up being more like a road trip than a work trip.
The only bad part about Fall in Ohio is I know winter is coming and I won't get to see the sun until March. After growing up out West, I miss the cold, cloudless days that we would have in the winter. The sunshine always made it feel warmer.
Not much else going on, so I will sign off for now.
Later,
Deej
